I worked as a rep for Sherwin-Williams paint about 10 years ago.
I have been using Krylon Fusion paint. ... Satin Black.

It is primarily made for plastics, and a good portion of our interiors are just that. Fusion can be sprayed directly on them with no primer or other treatments, as long as they are very clean. I usually will give a quick light wipe with acetone. This etches some plastics a bit, hence the words "quick" and "light".

It can also be used on metal (and other surfaces), so you will have the same finish all around. You will want standard prep there. I use a primer sealer on metal prior to the Fusion.

Whenever spraying any paint, including primer, I shoot a couple of "dust coats" first. It really increases the adhesion of the paint.

Good luck with it ... I am at the same stage with mine right now. Shot the metal panel at the back. Going to do the pillars, and then redye the headliner ... vinyl dye for that.
