my car is wrecked in the front and it ran when i pulled it in the back yard then a week later i was trying to start it and it won't start ? it's not getting any spark so i took out the accel electric points delete kit and put the points back in it then i am getting a small spark when the points gap opens but nothing at the plugs ??

    i tried my old coil

and i was using a diff batt and i hooked up the (+ -) cables wrong and did not notice it but it was still kicking over :slap:// could that have messed something up ?:hmmm:

that will destroy the alt and most eletroinc circuitry. should blow the fueseable link located in the cable that goes from the starter solinoid that provides power to the whole car.

when that happens you just have to go through the car and see whats damaged and replace it. check to see how much voltage the coil is geting from the positive wire with the key on. it should be between 6-9 volts. if its geting that voltage then it may need to be replaced. need to have the gap right with the points. if they are open to long the coil may not be geting enough saturation time to make enough spark.
