If it ever thaws/dries up around here, I'm going to tinker around on the car in this thread.. http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?p=648936#post648936 so far here's what I'm kicking around for this summer;
getting the little 200s starting problem fixed.
small bumper conversion
sport mirrors
Grabber spoiler
LDO interior(well, the seats & door panels)
magnum 500s
flat black paint(not primer)
maybe later....
302/c4
painted back the original light blue w/white '69 Mach 1 style side stripes
Although I've been messing with old cars for years I've never really "dug in" and done painting, interior work and such. So this car will kind of be an education before I do the Comet. I will hunt up a pro to weld the new quarter in the Comet, but I'm going to have to do the rest myself. As I read in an old Car Craft article as to why the owner done all the work himself, he replied "it was born of neccesity, I got tired of paying someone else too much to take too long to do it incorrectly". I paraphrased that somewhat, but the gist of his reply is how I feel. If I screw it up or take too long, I've only myself to blame. And I hear that I work pretty cheap, so maybe I can afford a do-over or two.:clap::D
