so my bros 351-w keeps on popping from the exhaust,we took of the time cover and checked if it was dot to dot and it is,its on 1 and starts up good but the popping just keeps on happening, what he has on it is victor jr headk, air gap intake,750 cfm carb, performer rpm plus cam, we bought a new stock distributor but its points and still pops,we adjusted the rockers on it too and pops once more, would it not be getting enough fire if it has the points distributor,do we have to switch to electric distributor so that this can stop, any help would be appreciated thanks
A fouled plug will cause this if its rich enough to burn in the pipe. Otherwise, id say maybe a valve not seating or not closing all the way for some reason. Could run a compression test on the offending bank.
