Canister

    What is the little canister that is behind the shock tower on the Pass side for ? It has a hose going to the air cleaner Thanks

    It catches the fumes from the gas tank, and vents them into the air cleaner to be burnt.

    Is it needed or is this something that most guys take off ?

    It seems that most people take it off, but you'll have to do something about the line coming to the engine compartment, without it, the fumes will just gather under the hood. It's been discussed before, where some guys have put a small hose at the outlet of the gas tank, or a breather on the line. I guess if you ever had to go for any emissions tests, without it..you might get some grief??
