Has anyone found an A Pillar pod that will hold 3 guages that will fit in the Mav and still look good. I want to add some guages when I install the 302, but I don't like the look of them just "hung" under the dash. I have the 3 guage pillar pod in my '96 Powerstroke and I LOVE it :D :D . They look great and you can't beat the visibility either. I can read all 3 of them without taking my eyes off of the road  .
I had a friend make this one for me out of stainless steel.
I've looked all over, and havent found any either. I do need a 3 guage pillar pod, but I guess I'll have to do with putting them somewhere else:mad:
IF there is not one made for the Comet/Maverick it can't be that difficult to alter a late model pillar pod to fit. Fiberglass and dynaglass, cut and mold to fit.
I would do that before I cut the dash or mounted them in an 'odd spot'.
Has anyone ever tried using the '65 Shelby GT gauge pod?
It's the football shaped pod that holds a tach and a single gauge.
It seems that these would work with little difficulty. The only disadvantage is the space for only 1 gauge. They are reproduced and are not that expensive. Tony Branda, Mustangs Unlimited and I believe National Parts Depot (NPD) all carry them.
Pod,dash Gauge 65 Shelby
High quality reproductions of the housing and gauges mounted on the dash on '65 Shelby (except R-model). The dash pod is constructed from injection molded plastic. One will fit 2 3/8'' the other will fit 3 1/2''. The tachometer features 8000 RPM scale with CS logo and the oil pressure gauge reads to 80 lbs.
