That was fun, looked back into the past. The Oldest post I can find of mine is 9/04/99. Seems like I asked before any of my modifications back in the day and got alot of awesome advice from you guys. I guess the archives before august of 1999 are gone for good. Back then we actually used our names on the board.
Ryan, they date back to 1998 http://maverick.to/archives/mmb1/one/board.html Who still browses the archive?
Stefan, was that the very first post on the board, made by Pegasus on 8-17-98? I thought that I remembered an even older version of the board. I found my first post on 8/17/98 in the "Dissapearing Act" thread sandwiched right between two posts by T.L. - - -what a place to find yourself
Yea, I just looked at the first post by Stefan. It says he hopes you like the message board better than the "old" one
WOW- -in that case I might have actually made my very first post on my old keyboard that had the wooden keys
The original boards were a third party application hosted on another server. Then I switched to a board hosted at my ISP and this is the first post using the new board. After we outgrew that board I installed another one, but we also quickly outgrew that one. I then switched to the current one we have been using since March 2002.
Stefan, do you have any of the posts dating back to that first post in March 98 or is the August 18, 1998 posts the first ones that we can see?
Scroll down to the bottom of the first board I hosted at my ISP and you can seel all thhe posts starting from March 1998.
My Bad The thread at the top of the page was 8-17 and I thought they gained from there on down- - -DUH I was curious when I made my first post - now I'll look OK - now I see that I made a post on 4-13-98 and I can now get some sleep
Wow I must have taken a break from 3/98 to 8/98. I think that is when my Maverick was waiting its turn for the paint shop while I was doing a quick 6 month restoration on my 70 F-100. Stefan when did you start the first board? I don't think I found it until 1994. This has been a long labor of love for you I'm sure. And we all appreciate it very much.:Handshake
No wonder why my progress was so slow the first two years I had my car. I think I spent the first two years doing body work and hunting down parts. Not much else to do when you were a freshman in high school.
