Would it be possible for someone to post a picture of the cable linkage setup on a V8 Maverick?
I am continuing to have issues and the setup on the Maverick is just binding up with the mechanical secondaries. I don't think this a a stock Maverick and I'd like to know what a stock one actually looks like.

    Thanks for you help.

Wow! That is definitely screwed up! The only thing right is the bracket it mounts to. Do a search for throttle cable. I'm sure there are some pics on here what it is suppose to look like. If not I'll post one in a little while. I'm suppose to be working on a car right now.

That cable is way too short! With the bends at each end it's no wonder it binds. I would get a Locar cable for it. That is what I'm doing when the time comes.

As per Mr Miller the cable is way to short . You will need to replace the cable with a longer one . You should have a gentle " S " bend Not a tight " Z " bend . As for the cable as I remember the stock Mav cable had a 2 bolt mounting flange to the fire wall and not just 1 bolt.

Looks like there is a bolt and washer in the hole the cable should run out of. For sure, that's not a maverick cable. Way too short. Even a six cylinder cable would be better there with it's additional length....

Thanks guys and special thanks to Ray for the picture.
I think the throttle (inside the car) is stock, so I may just get a stock one from AutoKrafters...............I think they call out a 20" cable as I don't want to drill any more holes in the firewall...................an it may be simple to install on the throttle.........................we will see.

    Thanks again,

    John
