torque converter help

    about to order a replacement torque converter from autozone. they offer 3 types 11 1/2", 10 1/2", and 9 1/2" bolt distance.

    -what is this distance and which am I to go with?

    i just want a stock replacement

    the 10 1/2 inch one.

    Assuming you have a 250 or 302 in your car then the 10 1/2 " bolt patterb is the one you want.

    11 1/2" = 164T flexplate

    10 1/2" = 157T flexplate

    9 1/2" = 148t flexplate (mustang II v8 and ford 4 cyl apps)
