toploader 3spd+od transmission question

I have the 3spd plus od that I took out of an 82 f-100 that had a v6 4spd. I know a lot of guys are using these transmissions in their mavericks but wanted to be shure this one would work before I listed it. Here is a pic

 

thats a SROD a 3+1 will have external linkage like a toploader

 

isn't that the same transmission you are running. I just wanted to make sure that since it came from a v6 that it would work behind a v8. I am nt up on manual tranmissions. lol

 

nope this is what mine looks like, the one you have will work behind a v8 it was used in mustangs up till 84-5

Yes, it will work. But that 82 F100 had a straight six, not a V6.

 

you could get a 3.8 in them also 82-83 in the f100 (5x4.5 bolt circle wheel only)

 

Never seen nor heard of a V6 in pickups until the 97's came out. Could be it was a Canadian only thing ? Every one I've ever seen had a 300 I6 in it.

 

ive seen quite a few local to me.

 

I promise you it was a v6, that was the only one I have saw also
