Does anyone have a factory original painted 1970 grabber hood? I need you to check some measurements on the front of the hood stripes. Must be factory originals only as I'm trying to document the correct paint. Take a look at the picture. The red dots are where my factory original hood is 1/2" spaced and the green dots are 5/8" spaced. I am wondering if this is correct or if the factory slipped a little when the paint stencil was put on and stretched the front gap a little. I want to see what original factory paint has for a spacing between the stripes. No repaints please. thanks .........
I just looked at mine (factory paint) and did a quick measure. Along the sides mine is 1/2", like yours. Along the front it ranges from 1/2" to 5/8". It looks like ours are basically the same. Probably due to variation when laying down the stencil, like you said.
