So Saturday I head over to a local junk yard because the previous night I had located both a 70 2dr and a 76 4dr maverick in their inventory. So I figured I would go take a look and see if I can find anything that I may need.

Walking up to the 70 maverick the entire car is whole. Last running in 08 (from napa slips) in car and looks good. Interior is whole and exterior is straight.

All of a sudden a guy pops up from under the car and says "Car is spoken for". I say damn and chit chat with him for a brief second. I start to head over to the 4 door maverick that they have listed as well to pull a few dash pieces. I get what I want, and figured I would stop by the 70 maverick on my way out to grab the guys number because he plans on rebuilding it. His name is Rick -- He should be joining forums soon)

Anyways I ask him what he is going to do with the interior and he says throw it away (perfect bench and beautiful back seats). Because he plans on putting bucket seats in. I told him I will not accept that and I will take it.

Come to find out he doesn't have the tools needed so I lend him my tools. So for the good karma he rewards me with the back seats, and bench seat in exchange for my back seats so I would have matching interior.

So I head over to his house yesterday to switch everything out -- At first though I thought he was going to blow me off and wasn't serious about it. Come to find out he is a man of his word.

Anyways.. I figured I would show you my new (old) interior.

I like the plaid. :thumbs2: back in the day, not so much ... but now it is pretty cool and helps make the 70s image for the car.

    Nice step up.

    Thanks!

I used to work for many car detail shops so I just need to extract the seats and they will come out clean! Just a little dirty on driver side of the bench seat due to someone getting in and out with dirty close or no shirt on. The dirt should lift and come out very clean! No stains, a few minor minor minor rips but no biggie. Its a step up from the infamous duck tape bench seat!!!

Also a 1,000 times more comfortable that my last seats!
