I want to remove the knob from my glove box door but I can't figure out how. I've removed the two screws that hold the latch to the back but that does nothing for me. Also, I don't have the keys for the lock if that matters. Any help would be appreciated!

There is a spring retainer on the back side of the knob, the same kind of spring retainer that is on the back side of the wiper knob. It takes a small flat screwdriver or a long "pick" to get on the back side and pry the spring retainer toward the knob. It will pop right off.

Oh cool, thanks Craig! Is it difficult to get the cylinder re-keyed to match my trunk key? Or is it the ignition key that fits it?

It is the trunk key that fits. You can probably get it re-keyed. If you need a matching "set" (trunk/glove box), I have some.

OK thanks, I'll let you know. I also want to re-key the lock on my consolette to match if possible.

Any professional locksmith should be able to re-key them for you. Or you could probably even get a kit.

Also this was perfect timing. I was planning to take mine apart soon and fix it so it stops falling open, I probably just got several hours saved.
