My very first car was a 302 powered '72 Mav. As I get closer to retirement and looking for a project, I stumbled on this '70 just begging to be put back on the road.
I have what I believe to be an original Arizona car. Somewhat of a survivor body wise, but it has been painted from the original grabber orange - (May have been vermillion, i'm not that good with colors, but the factory color is still on the underside of the deck lid). This was not a factory AC car, but was retrofit either by the dealership or someone after delivery. Also has PS, but not PB. The 250 seems to be original and ran ok. An AODE was stubbed in behind it, but it was not a very good job.
The '98 Explorer donor vehicle with a 5.0l EFI and 4R70 is sitting in front of it waiting for parts to come off.
Still don't know what direction I'll go for suspension. May do a MII system to preserve the X oil sump and give me the under hood room. Will do 5 lug and front disc brakes in any case.
