Bottom hole worked best. Rancho shocks. Firmest setting. Stock Cal Trac mounting plates. Best 1.30 60ft.

Great sixty foot times! I think most people end up using the bottom adjusting hole. The rancho shocks must come with a bracket for the bottom because my cal trac plates just have a single hole for a vertical bolt. Thanks for sharing your setup.

Oh I just looked at the picture and your cal trac plates are different than mine.

These shocks came with my kit from Cal Trac so I guess that's why my plate is different!

If you ever want to get out cheap on a stock 9in rear axle brace just heat & form a piece of 5/8 rebar & weld it on the back of the housing to the tubes & pumpkin. Not pretty, but tough as nails & you will NEVER bend it.

Beware of welding things to the axle housing. Unless done properly with a housing jig I can "almost" guarantee the housing will be warped using the amount of heat needed to properly weld any type of brace on.
