Doesn't surprise me a bit, it's really transparent if you pay attention. My wife laughs at me because I usually call out the price and get it most times. I tell her I get copies of the script!
This says allot about Richards character. http://m.tmz.com/#Article/2014/02/17/fast-and-loud-tom-fired-cussing-boss
most of the car tv reality shows are scripted. top gear america is another. the "races" are usually compiled from them being done over and over again. i take it for what its worth, just entertainment. the day fast and loud ends, tom wont have a job. that guy is entertaining and even seems knowledgeable at times but you can tell richard only keeps him for the tv entertainment factor.
it's a TV show... Chasing Cars is another one... of course they'er scripted... I just watch them for the cars...
I read somewhere, that Tom isn't even his name, and he's from Ohio.? A few years back there was a big controversy about Richard buying cars, and reselling them, saying he did all the work. It's all fake.
I'm glad I am not alone in the, dislike for Gas Monkey boat. The paint work and certain projects turn out fine, but they do as little work as possible and attempt the quick flip from what I see. Aaron worked at a local shop installing air ride setups for vehicles, and dabbed in mild mechanic work. Far from the expert he is projected to be on the show. Richard and Aaron are also bad at looking for rust when they go to buy their projects. They get them back and begin punching holes in the rockers and floors.
Did you ever notice, after one of their cars go to Sue's for upholstery, they don't even have a headliner installed? The few times I've seen the show, that has stuck out with me. The red Galaxie was the first one I noticed it on.....
