I changed the nitrous tuneup a little and went a new pb. not too shabby for a junk engine with a 71n jet

Hi I was wondering what gear ratio you are running in the maverick rear differential . I am building a 1970 maverick for the strip and haven't decided - to put a 351W I have already in it or a 302 that was in the car and put a stroker kit in it. May be you could recommend a good gear ratio.
    thanks

4.56 gears & a 29 inch tall tires make these cars rockets if you have the mtr to pull it.

we have a 351 c cj in ours with a 5 speed and posi trac 4:11's with hoosier slicks and traction bars and it still wont grip and recommendations, it will barely grip on a roll. we have broke the frame where shocks mount at the top a couple of times now

Drag shocks and bigger tires. Remove the front sway bar.

There's a big part of your problem. Air shocks shouldn't be on anything but trucks, seems like all they do to cars is tear 'em to pieces.

What kind of locker in the rear end? Drag shocks will help to.
