what gear ratios best at the track.

I have not decided what gear ratio to go with yet, this 1970 maverick has a C4 transmission in it I do not want to grenade the tranny with to high a gear ratio .May be 4:11' s would be ok . how much horse power are you making with the 351C must be quite a bit if you are breaking the frame .

the tires rub the lip when we let the shocks down so how do the drag shocks work out the car is jacked up in the rear and we like that look. but how are air shocks made mostly for trucks? I see lots of old cars using them, we built a 71 challenger with them.

Get some tires that fit and let it down. It may not be transferring weight jacked up. Not saying its impossible but its gonna be tough to get a stick car to hook if it cant transfer weight.

you need drag or stock replacement shocks, get wheels with the right backspacing. if you are using air shocks to jack the rear up it will never transfer weight. also the body shock mount was never designed to support the weight of the car, that is why you are breaking it
