I was wondering if any of you bought headliner off ebay from a seller named classicautotrimnv ?If so how did it fit and would you recommend it?

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/1970-1971-1...r_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item19eb653b84

    It says
MADE WITH CORRECT TIER GRAIN, B69 POLYESTER THREAD.
OUR HEADLINERS ARE READY TO INSTALL WITH THE BOW SLEEVES SEWN IN.
OUR HEADLINERS ARE READY TO INSTALL WITH THE BOW SLEEVES SEWN IN.
OUR HEADLINERS REQUIRE ONLY MINIMAL TRIMMING, MAKING THEM MUCH EASIER AND LESS WORK TO INSTALL.

I will be needing a new headliner and have been searching around.I also checked out Autokrafters headliners but they didn't show any pictures. I have an orange interior but the headliner was a tanish color. I wouldn't mind putting either orange or tan headliner.

On the autokrafters maverick catalog it shows couple colors for a 2door and the closest color that matches to my headliner is "Light Saddle".

On the ebay link posted above on the second picture it shows the different colors available and it looks like Bright Red looks close to orange.

So ebay or autokrafters? And does it look like light saddle or bright red will match with my interior?

Your car originally had an orange headliner. Not sure if anybody makes one or not. Dave Boyer would know for sure (He is the resident orange interior expert)

As far as I know...all headliners out there are made by the same company and different people sell it.

Ok the one on ebay is cheaper than autokrafters. However autokrafter had a 10% sale on interior parts.
Do you know Dave Boyer's username?

I have one of their headliners in my ebay "watch list" and would also like to know if they are any good.

I just purchased my new headliner (amongst other things) from AutoKrafters. I used a 10%-OFF promo code at the time. Mine is black, so I can't help you with the "orange" thing, but I can let you know how it looks when I pick up my orders on Thursday. If they're ALL made by the same company, then I guess it doesn't matter where you order from, except from a price standpoint.

I bought mine from autokrafters and it is light saddle pretty much looks the same color as yours. It matches the material of the sunvisors too. I tried 3 different ways to install it and you will find several ways online or in magazine articles. By far the best for me was to start right at the rear view mirror and work towards the rear. Buy some windlace and cut pieces 2 to 3 in. Length to hold in place till 3M adhesive dries. Don't forget to take the windshield and back glass out first. You'll really want to replace the gaskets for a leakproof seal. Once its done you'll be proud of yourself cause not very many guys wil or want to tackle this job. YOU can do it!!

I used the headliner mart and was happy. Ask for color samples before you order

I bought mine from eBay. I think I paid 48 plus what ever they charged for shipping. It installed fine and looked good. I sold the car a little while ago so I don't have any recent photos.

they can be a little tricky but didn't have any bend. anyone removing these need to mark the hole on each side that they come out of. I don't know if all have 3 holes on each side for each bow but mine did. guess who didn't mark them...

I knew they were color coded but I didn't know about there being more than one hole per bow per side...:yup:

Your headliner looks to be in fairly good shape. Just a little wrinkled near the back glass. A heat gun will usually take those out with ease. Would save you some trouble of replacing the whole thing. Harbor freight has them and has two settings so don't keep it in one place too long, it will surely melt the material.

it's a little scary stretching a 35 year old headliner, most of the time the seams won"t hold...:yup:
