I do this all the damn time with my truck, would think I would figure out after the 2nd time or so.

Another thing, when I open my door to get in if I am not paying attention the door bottom corner swings into my shin and hurts even worse.

    been there, done that...
it would be nice if someone would invent a break away that you could pull a pin so when You/I walk into it the thing would swing away...
:hmmm:...I think they have...just pull the pin and throw it in the truck...

Around here it is illegal to drive around with the ball mount in the receiver with no trailer.

Mine has a lock pin.. As much as I use it it would be a hassle, but wouldn't hurt as much I guess.
It's truck country here. Maybe 95% trucks. All with towing abilities. Trailers are everywhere. Most of them have no plates either. You only need a plate if you use it like I do on the interstate highway. $6 a year or so..

I plan to bring my big jack and stands home from the shop so I can set the car up off it's belly. That's todays goal.

It wasn't all today, but finished today.
Tore apart the rear end from the donor car. Changed the ring and pinion to 3.55, all new bearing and seals, all new brakes, Mustang leaf spring shackle with new bushings (had to order those separate) and finally got the U-bolts and mounted the new leaf springs.

Now I just have to finish under the car, so I can put it in.

Guess what.. I HAVEN'T driven it today.. YET! :D

Drove it down to Hawkco's house yesterday to see if his pieced together TIG rig worked, and showed him the basics of TIG welding.

Tomorrow will be a trip up I-85 to Greenville, SC to see some of my girlfriend's family for Easter. The old beater's still chugging along... 210k since 2005.

Got the inner valve springs back in after the break in yesterday, adjusted valves and fired it back up....then quickly noticed it was running VERY rich..looks like something has gummed up the need/seat in my carb and fuel is just pouring in..carbs only a year old and i gotta tear into it again..seems too loud though too, changed to flowmaster mufflers from magnaflow and its 10 times louder..i'll be really able to tell when i pull it out of the shop.
until then ill search and figure out why i have sitting on the bottom of my bellhousing and slowly dripping.

Did u do the cam repair? How'd it work out? I have the kit for my broke switch but haven't done it yet. Praying the kit will be the fix.
