I'm looking at a 71 maverick with a 4x4.5 lug spacing, and it has aftermarket wheels that aren't spaced right. So I'm asking about how much are spacers, and also if these rims would fit if I decide to get new ones.
Good billet adapters are around $125 a pair. You can get about any bolt pattern you want. The thinnest I am comfortable with are 1.25 thick. You can get nice spacers for around $20 a piece ranging from 1/4" to 1". The next problem you will run into with spacers is enough lug nut engagement with the spacer in place. JMO, SPark
Okay, thanks. Also, not in line with the topic, the the maverick I'm looking at is a v6, has 48k miles, and body is pretty mint. Do you think 3.5k is a fair price for it? I feel like this forum would be the best place to ask. I'm looking at it for my first car.
Welcome from Northern California! Start another thread with all the info you have about the car and post any pics you may have. You'll probably get a lot more responses.
If you use spacers, you will need longer studs. It would be better to just get the correct size of wheels.
