Hey, thanks! These are 58cc. Just for the stroker kit itself you are looking at about $1400. More if you want forged internals. On top of that, you need a bit of machine work done to the block for it to all fit properly. Altogether in the block alone including machine work, ran me $2200. That's block only now. No top end, oil pan, etc. A 331 kit costs just about the same as a 347. So I went with the bigger 347. Hope I helped you out there.
Thank you. Took me forever to buy them it seemed. Rocker arms, head bolts, gaskets, etc will be ordered next weekend hopefully.
LOL. I had been saving up every penny I had from May to buy those. It's going to hurt my feelings to have to put sealer for the gaskets on them. Haha.
Been doing a lot of work over the past few weeks. So much work, that I haven't had a chance to post new pics. Finally got all the interior and trunk down to the metal. Then I used Rust Bullet on the entire interior of it all. Before sanding and grinding:
LOL. If my dash and etc had been the same color as the Rust Bullet, I would have left it like that. I have painted over it all with flat black. I won't be using any carpet. It's about an 80% strip car, and 20% street. If anything, I may use a quart of bedliner on just the front floor pans below the bucket seats.
Thanks! Yes, it does. It surprised me how well it turned out. When you open the can and mix it up, you wouldn't think it would turn out that way. It's just something in that stuff that paints on so smooth. I mean, you could be the worst painter in the world, but when that stuff goes on, it's smooth.
Believe it or not, I experimented with the spray on dupli-color bed liner on my roof.. It looks like a vinyl top till you get up close.. The dupli-color in the can is to coarse for my taste, the spray on has a nice look kinda like lizard skin...
Thanks, it is getting there. I have been working on the body stuff while saving up the rest of the money to finish the 347.
For the floor pans the thicker coarse brush on may look good... I tried that first, it was so bumpy that I scraped it off... I think if you tape it off and do just the pans it would look like floor mats...
