Saw this one today on my way to work. Was sitting out front at a body shop on hwy. 29 near Tucker, GA.
My buddy says there is a 71-72 Comet GT that he keeps seeing in the works at this local bodyshop that does great restoration work. I have yet to see this mythical car ... been past there about four times now. I should just stop in and talk to some folks there.
no pic but saw a 72? grabber in flat blue in lancaster south carolina today, looked like a straight survivor. guy was backing it out of a parking spot as we drove buy.
Had to slow way down for the Comet to catch up to me on the freeway but I was able to get a good picture. Looked real nice and sounded great!
Spring Hill FL Driving in the Weekie Wachee / Spring Hill area on Sunday. This is about an hour north of my home. I spotted a big bumper two door going the other way, so I only saw it for a few seconds. Likely an LDO car with the side trim taken off. It had the extra details on the taillight panel and it looked like the odd black dog dish hubcaps that had the center emblems ( but no trim rings?). It was that mustard color, and I am guessing it was a repaint at some point, likely a while ago. It looked like someone's daily driver and had a couple rough spots. Still ... it was pretty neat to have to stop the conversation and blurt out, "Look ... Maverick!"
Saw this on the north end of Reno the other day. First one I've seen since moving here three months ago.
While visiting family in Southern California I saw a small bumper 4-door Maverick in Chino Hills. It was dark Blue with tinted windows and chrome mod wheels. It looked like a daily driver.
Yellow Mav Indy I seen this 1973 Maverick in Indianapolis on 7/22/2014. I was going to the business accross the street & once i was done i walked over to the Maverick as 3 guys were walking around it, 2 were changing /swapping tires. I ask who's Maverick it was & a young man i would say around 22 years of age proceeded to tell me the history of the car & then that he just traded it for the yellow Javelin in the picture. The Javelin had a price of $3000 on it. I went back on Wednesday to purchase the Magnum 500 steel style wheels that were on the javelin & the Maverick was on the lot & said $2995.00 or best offer. It has a 302, automatic trans, bench seat, tan interior, not the worst looking Maverick. Anyway the car is for sale & the # is on the building. This is now on Indianapolis Craigslist
Trolley Station Saw a white one at the trolley startion on the way to work, stopped and got a couple of pictures!
