Fender Apron

I need to replace a portion of the passenger fender apron on my son's 71.

What is the recommended donor fender apron to use?

 

There are some posts on here that have used the 67/68 Mustang patch panels

I'll try to get a picture to post tomorrow.

Ours is not that bad and I could just as easily use a small scrap of appropriate sheet metal but I thought that I would ask.

I may relocate the battery to the trunk and use the vacant area for an air box.
