Are you ever going to take the car to the drag strip and race it...or is your car a daily driver....or somewhere in between?
The Cal Tracs are the best setup you can buy short of a ladder bar or 4 link! If you set them up like they tell you they will plant the rear tires hard! I never had them on a Maverick but used them on a 1969 Mustang and on a 1977 cobra II, They worked real well on both cars!
yes, they work and worth the money to me. Have them on my drag cars but will work equally well on a street auto.
I've witnessed them on a 600 hp, dual-quad 407 c.i. Rambler American convertible! I love the way they plant the tires yet appear to raise the rear of the body on a hard launch. Bruce
What Bruce said, above. I have them on my car, and never used them at the track (yet) but I can definitely feel the difference when launching on the street.
I have them on my car and even though I only race about once a year, they took .2 off my 60 foot time. I would definitely recommend them.
I have cal tracs on my comet and it runs 10.80 in the 1/4 plus they made the 60ft consistent (well worth the money)
that's why I took them off my car. the ride was too rough. I now have an extra leaf turned backwards. the hookup in the street is the same but a more comfortable ride.
Do any of you guys get a periodic clunk when the caltracs unload and reload like when you go over a bump or into a driveway? I am not sure if what I am hearing is the caltracs or something else...
