Beautiful car! That color combo is my second favorite combo after the orange and white of the 73 Grabbers. I had that exact same car at one time, factory V/8 with comfort weave Bucket Seat interior. It is long gone now and I am pretty sure that it got all parted out. Rust had its way with that car. If rust had not gotten to it so bad I would have kept it and restored it back to the original colors. Good luck with yours! It is looking very nice. Thanks for sharing the pictures. Allen Small
Thanks Allen! I thought I rememered in another thread (might have been Mavmania427's) you mentioned you had one that got parted out. I also like the orange and white color combo on the '73 Grabbers. I use to have a '73 Comet GT that was white with orange stripes and an orange interior. It was a factory 302, 3 speed stick in the floor car. I sold it about 20 years ago locally and recently tried to find it and from what I found out the daughter of the guy I sold it to wrecked it and it was totaled. Yes, that is the 1/8 mile Natural Bridge Drag Strip. BTW, I'm hosting a MCCI (Maverick Comet Club International) Mini Meet at the Chatham Cruise-in on Saturday, October 25th. I would love for you to bring your new Maverick out and hang out with us! You can get all the details here: http://maverickcometclub.org/event/virginia-mini-meet-chatham-cruise-in-chatham-virginia/ Let me know if you have any questions.
That's a really nice car you got there! Do you have any pics of the interior? Look as if it was stock, aside for the wheels of course.
Thanks! I got my seats redone earlier this year in original patterns. Forum member Fred (fmc56) made them for me and they turned out awesome!! I would recommend his work to anyone. Here are some pics.
