My Suburban motor from Advance Auto Parts comes with a 3 year unlimited mile warranty....and some place in Texas is the place that rebuilds it...maybe that is it.
Sounds like a much better idea, you know the old saying, fool me once.... I have to say, you’re a patient man, if it were me, I don’t think I would be holding it together as well as you. With only 25k on the odo, we’d be face to face in a hurry.
my take on something like this is...if they didn't do it right when you payed them to do it...what makes you think it will be done any better if you make them ...do it for nothing...
Yeah, no, I think I miss conveyed my message. The shop owner needs to know how poorly his engine has performed, that's all I'm saying. I wouldn't go back for more either.
I agree. This is why I will be posting my documentation on his fb page. I am sure it will come down though.. I found some negative posts in a Dodge forum I am a member of also. I blasted him there also. He is not a member of BBB so nothing I can do there. Especially when the engine did actually last the warranty period. WE all know it should last quite longer than it did..
You can still file a BBB report, even if he's not a member, that way if anyone calls to see if he is, they'll have a complaint on file. I don't think I'd blast the guy online, then expect him to lower his price, then do the work for you...you're just asking for more trouble, cut your loses, and get as far away from this guy as you can.
Not going there.. I just ordered a motor from http://agaptexasengines.com/index.html . I took the oil pan off to verify my crank sensor gear (?).. I found this..
Are you talking about the shiney looking one about 4 down? The broken one is the first one from the top, which is the last one actually. The rod is stuffed to the upper area. I did not look for the missing cap. I assumed it was still attached to the rod, which is over on top.
