The silver one is the car I'm working on. This is a before pic with the original paint on it. I had shot a little gray primer on the sides to cover the baked off paint until I got ready to paint it. This car is a true barn find with only 29000 actual miles. It's 302, auto, pdb, ps, ac, and runs and drives like a new car. Can't wait to get it back together.
The white Stallion in the pic was mine also. It made it's way to Brazil. I'm kinda famous over there now! LOL

You're right, they are quite rare. You might see a few of them on this message board but you have to realize that those few are distributed over 20,000 plus members.

I seriously doubt you'd ever find more than 200 in the entire USA.

Hi All who were following this blog: My brother, Dave (Super Sonic Mav), who worked so hard to resurrect my dad’s 1976 Maverick Stallion passed away Sept. 2021. He was very proud to share his progress of the rebuild. I actually came across this post recently trying to find his rebuild info because my dad reacquired the car recently. It’s my job to make sure that the car stays in great shape to honor my brother’s memory. Here is a picture from me and my dad’s first car show appearance with the Stallion tonight. Thank you for following this thread and if me or my dad enhance the Maverick, I’ll be sure to post it here on this rebuild page. -Don

Very sorry for your loss of your brother, the car is well on the way to being a show stopper . I like the stuff that has been done to change it from stock ( bumpers, spoiler, hood, tach and wheels. I have its twin and love taking it to car shows its hard to convince people that it came from the factory with the paint job they have

Sorry that your brother has passed and for your family's loss. It is great that you have taken on showing the car in his memory. Very nice tribute!

My best buddy and I lost a good friend 25 years ago. We both helped him restore a 73 AMX a couple years earlier, my buddy very active in that build. 10 years after Stan passed away, he was able to purchase the car and still has it. It has had a feature article in Musclecar Review magazine since. Keeps us both close to Stan. The three of us had some much fun together.

So sorry to hear of the loss of your brother. Sounds like your family is pulling together to ensure his favorite project continues in his name.
