Attaching interior arm rests

    So I just got my 71 Mav back from paint but the passenger side interior front arm rest was not able to be attached cuz he lost one of the metal clips that the bolt apparently screws into thru the arm rest. Problem is I didn't take the car apart myself so I'm not sure how to install the clips. Do I need to remove the door panel and all that or what?

    The door panel does not need to be removed to install, i will take a pic of mine if nobody has posted anything

    you could remove the other one and see what and how it is mounted.

    back in the day, Jeff and I would go to the junkyard and remove things we weren't sure how they came off. that way we would find the hidden clips, bolts and screws...( dashpad and A/C heater box were two I remember)...:yup:

    If memory serves there are two clips per door.
