70 / 71 / 72 Grabber Stripe Colors ....

Gold and white on a '72

72 grabber yellow car with orange stripe and red border

 

Chrome/Diamond Plate Chrome I would like to see that on a car if you send me the graphics i will put them on my car for a test.

 

I'm looking for orange w/ red border for a 72. Let me know. Thanks

 

Never seen the white stripe outline on the hood treatment of a 71. I am pretty sure this car is a 71, not a 72, and I would say that it appears to be original paint:

Me too! Every time I walk into my garage... and mine is actually reflective black. Never seen a 71 hood with a different outline colour. It is possible the one I posted could have had the white added by the dealer or a previous owner, but it looks well-weathered like the rest of the car.

 

Haha never realized that! The one I seen has it on the hood also.

 

Any pictures? The 72's had the two-tone hood stripes, but not ( I thought) 71's.

 

I know its a 72 for fact, but sadly I don't. the car was in a junk yard with grabber hood and spoiler, but you can guess what happened to those.....

 

OK, if it's a 72, then yes, they had multi-coloured hood stripes. It was the 71 that I posted (even though the link says 72, it's NOT) that I found odd to have black AND white in the stripe.

 

The white outline could be faded from another color.

 

Look how crooked the white stripe is around the front side marker. I would say they have been added.
