I am just putting my 77 Maverick back together after 7 years of neglect. I did a small bumper conversion and have most of the parts but can't remember if there was a rubber seal between the quarter panel and the extension/end cap. Also I removed the factory bucket seats and somehow either have the wrong outer track installed on the passenger seat or I am missing spacers. It was fine before I removed it!
I used a set of quarter extension seals for a 66 mustang, just trim them to size with a pair of sissors...
Nice seats! Who does your upholstery work? Melvins sells the Mustang extension seals: Quarter Extension Seals
I did the seats. repro covers for all year Mavericks. Since the 77 didn't have them that' why I can't find them. I have the early extensions going on so I should be able to get some Mustang ones. Still need to figure out the passenger seat.
On my 75 with LDO seats the passenger side does not have any spacers on the inner or outer tracks. The driver side has spacers on the inner track.
Did you use the original 77 seat bottom? They were lop-sided from the factory to account for the inboard seat track having to ride over the cat hump in the floor. The outboard side had a riser welded on the frame to make up the difference. I did a tech article on this .... the topic has frustrated more than a few folks out there .... http://mmb.maverick.to/threads/cat-hump-bucket-seat-tracks.80862/
