the spindles and control arms they were the only parts not powdercoated with the RC-107 kit when I got it.
satin is OK in some places....but the slicker it is the easier it is to clean... the other parts came gloss black.
Frank- You ought to build a powder coat booth out of PVC and find a used Convection oven for powder coating. Of course that won't work for a complete rear end but will work on 90% of powder coating jobs. I think I will start a thread on mine when it is finished. I have about $90 in materials for the booth and the gas (use propane) powder coating convection oven was given to me by a restaurant equipment company because it was damaged.
I've had the same thought. The powdercoater here in town wants your left nut to coat something. Most of his jobs are large industrial contracts. Look forward to your post for the bill of material.
If you are considering it the toughest thing is to get the Convection Oven. Either a Gas ( change to propane) or an electric. You may want to start looking on Craigs or the restaurant Equipment Dealers. I have a buddy too that has one in his mechanical shop and saves tons of money.
Grind and clean clean clean.. Should look something like this.. http://mmb.maverick.to/attachments/diff-painted-jpg.23915/
