I was doing 299 to the wheels and through a T5 so I would hope I can hit a high mid 12. I have TFS 190cc heads. Not sure of the model number anymore but was the best bang for the buck i ever did.

the 11r are the latest and greatest from TFS they are better than the older sets... like everything in life the newer the better right.... I don't see why you wouldn't be able to click off a mid twelve.. mine does.. you probably have another 20 horse in that car if you changed stuff around and leaned it more towards the race side than the comfort/ street side.. and there is nothing wrong with that.. at all... we all build our cars the way we want... I just want mine to be as quick as can be for what I can afford with less care to the comfort part... Too bad i won't be able to make the meet on Saturday... although i could if it was earlier... I start work at noon..

Glad I checked in. Gene I have the 13th off so I will attend the mini meet.

Anyone want to rebuild a 5.0 for me? I have a 87 5.0 long block EFI non roller. Its nothing fancy I just want a engine to throw in the Maverick to get it running again. I want to get all the gaskets replaced and remove all EFI. I have a carb intake manifold but no carb yet. Saw some felpro gasket kits on summit but I'm not exactly sure which one to buy since the engine is efi and I'm doing carb. I don't have the room, tools, time, or knowledge to complete this task.

If anyone is interested send me a message or text me your price. 602 635 8326 - Joe

HEY GUYS AND GALS...JUST A FRIENDLY REMINDER!! Next Saturday, December 13th at 11:00am is our Maverick/Comet mini meet at the Park Central Mall parking lot (near the deli) at Central and Osborn in central Phoenix. Even if you don't have a running Maverick or Comet doesn't mean you can't attend! Hoping to see lots of you there so we can all talk about the cars we love. See you all there!!

I sent Adam a text and he is going to try and make it. I tried to text Roger but the message wont send, he must have changed his number. So how many Mavericks are showing? Me, Gene, Joe, john, Static?

I did take your list and sent a pm to everyone who has been active in the last 2 years. I don't think Joe has his Maverick running...but we should also have Tony Housos and Tony Stewart with their Mavs...but it looks like the forecast is for rain Saturday. I've been waiting to see if it will change before posting anything. If no change by tomorrow we may have to wait till Sunday...I hope everyone can still make it on Sunday if it comes to that.

Oh and I texted Steve Huff and he said he could make it too.

Gene is correct. No Maverick, unless I push it or trailer it which wouldn't be worth it. No one wants to see a non running stock Maverick.

It will definitely suck if it rains Saturday. I guess the curse will live on

UPDATE ON THE ARIZONA MINI-MEET!! All weather reports are still showing rain for Saturday(go figure!) so I want to officially fall back to the rain date which is the very next day, Sunday the 14th...same time and place. The forecasts for Sunday all show sunny and clear...crossing my fingers. I hope you all have planned for this contingency and can still make it on Sunday. I'm excited to see everyone and hopefully some new faces as well!
