Has anyone had their seatbelt webbing replaced to match an interior color change? There are several shops on the web that do this, but first hand experience is always a good place to start.
It took him a while, but he did a nice job on a set of '74 retractables for me. I would call him and see what his work load is befor sending anything. http://www.pythonrestoration.com/Home_Page.html Micah
My seats are currently at a local upholstery shop. Not sure if they want the liability that comes with refurbishing seat belts.
call Steve at www.seatbeltplanet.com and he can fix you up, you can check out my gallery and see photo's of replacement belts he made up for me. David
Not unless they are licensed/certified by the federal government to produce seat belts. Ever notice the certified label sewn onto a seat belt? That's why most shops won't touch seat belts, they would get in trouble with the Feds. Years ago I needed to replace a frayed seat belt in my 93 T-bird to pass state safety inspection. Bought the webbing but couldn't get anyone to sew the buckle on and the one place explained why. Finally I went to a shoe repair shop and told them it was a strap for my roof rack and they sewed it.
got my matching color webbing from a place that makes ratchet straps. they sewed on the buckles and when I went to pay them they asked for what we didn't do anything...
