I ordered a new set of custom floor mats from Lloyd's Floor Mats, Northridge, CA. for my Comet. Went out today to see how they fit. They fit well and have a way to lock them from moving. They were/are a Ford licensed product "for whatever that's worth". I am satisfied w/ quality & fit, big improvement over what I replaced from AZ. Won't be installing them till late spring -- don't plan on getting oil/grease on them at least for a while. The only thing I don't like is the modern Mercury logo, I wud have preferred early logo but couldn't find one. Since I got them I see AC has some w/ Comet logo - Wudn't u know I got an email w/ them advertised this week. I wud have preferred those. Too late now -- Keeping the ones I have...

No I didn't and I don't have the Melvin's catalog. It's a mistake I will have to live w/ for a while. I really like the quality of these mats, just think the early Comet logo wud have been more to my liking. Anyway, they are big improvement over what was in the car.

I like how they fit around the high beam dimmer, the ones from Melvins look like they are made by ACC, and you can always order directly from them.

I like how they fit and the material, at some point I may order the other one's and switch ocassionally. But, I will be riding these come spring.

I like the way they fit around the dimmer too. They also have means of fastening the rear of them down w/ some kind of plastic fasteners - via holes punched in them. Going to have to figure those out.
