Hello, I'm new to this forum but i've had my maverick for about 5 yrs now. It had a good solid body with a lot of suspension mods since it had been a drag car, like sub-frame connectors roll cage and a ladder bar ,coil-over set-up on the 9 in rear axle. The engine is a 347 with an eagle rotating assy, world products windser sr. iron heads comp roller cam and lifters scorpion roller rockers wieand stealth intake quickfuel 750 carb msd ign. and doug thorley shortie headers. Its connected to a toploader 4-speed thru a ram clutch and flywheel. My first car was a 1964 mercury comet with a 260 v-8 and a 4-speed that i rebuilt with some performance upgrades but when i came across my maverick i went for it. I'm happy to have joined this site because it has everything needed to keep an old mav owner going.
Thank you for the welcome messages. I've really enjoyed working on my mav and now being able to drive it to local shows and cruises. Its a blast to drive but as they say, " its never really finished" and there are still things i want to do to it. It looks like I've found the right site for that. thanks again,
As always, everyone here is eager to help you anyway we can. You are part of a big family of friends. Nice to chat always. James
