Forgot about the bump stops. Plans are to reinstall them just didn't know if you had a reason not to or something. BTW I was thinking about horizontal forces. Wouldn't you want the upper reinforcement to be on the sides?

the stiffer you can make the body the better the car will react in all situations. the only thing to watch out for is weight.

boxing the control arms is just that. creating a box. that drastically eliminates the amount of twist of the arm. will gain boxing both the upper and lower arms. top rangers belly bar is a really good piece to add. it ties the lower control arm frame bolts to the belly bar.

welding up as much of the seams in the car helps a lot also. especially around the suspension mounting areas.

im really interested in your build. i bought my white car full of high end stuff, but my comrick project plan is really similar to yours. it will be built with a lot of diy stuff like your doing. ive done and am still doing lots of research on what i can do and how to do it. you are on the right track, i just see the few little things in your build that could be done a little better to give you more flexibility. your doing great and you will have a car of great levels of performance.

with my recent endeavor into autocrossing, ive really learned the value of tires. my white car has staggered tires. wider in the rear than in the front. thats not a popular way to set up autocross cars. they like to have the same size all the way around. that way the traction coefficient is even all the way around.

keep up the good work. it looks like your putting lots of time into this and making fast progress. keep it up.

While I'm waiting for the budget for more parts I started on body work. IMG_20150201_164032178.jpg IMG_20150201_185706390.jpg there were a few more dents than I expected, however the only one more than a heavy hail dent is right over the passenger door and some small creases over windshield.
I didn't think about dents before installing the headliner.:slap:

Got the second coat of primer on the roof and quarters. Fenders, hood, and decklid have filler, self etch, and first coat of primer. Hood also has been jammed.
