Well its been fun working on the maverick but i sold it and heres why .....

When I Bought The car to do as a tribute to my brother who had passed of cancer the gentelmen i bought it from was also battling cancer and unfortunatly he has taken a bad turn i recieved a phone call tonight from the gentelmens wife she was in tears she put her 17 year old son on who could barely talk cause of the sadness he wanted to build another car with his dad but time is running out and they will never have a chance to do it again so he asked me if i would sell him the maverick back cause it was the last car him and his dad built together. after about an hour of thinking it over cause it really caught me off guard and talking with a few people not to mention the man upstairs i called them back i told them they could have the car back i also told the son if he wanted help finishing it he could call me anytime and if i could i would help him finish the car as a tribute to his dad i understand the pain the family is feeling i have been there myself so please keep Anna and Her Son in your thoughts as Wes Their husband & Father
battles this diease Thank You ... My Brother would have wanted it this way

I know your heart was in that build but you did the right thing. Things like that happen for a reason and I'm sure you'll find another. Keep us posted.

You are more than welcome. Glad the Grabber is going to someone who appreciates it. Looking forward to seeing the finished product. Glad I could help. You have gotten a California rust free car. I wasn't getting anything done on my project. So it needed to go to someone who could finish it. I've included the items I purchased for my project. Have fun. Lots done already, including the V-8 swap & 5 lug rear end installed. If you need any help let me know.

    Mike,

You are light years ahead with the Maverick from Coop. That was a very nice solid car you got from him. Congratulations on the purchase of it.

Once things have settled, try to convince the young man to join the forum. I'm sure you were going to do that anyway.

You and your brother in-law enjoy your late night thrash! :thumbs2:
