Am looking to try some different wheels, was thinking about 15x7's in a grey or silver center and all aluminum one piece wheel, but wanna see what they look like on a mav, anyone have them on your cars? Show me!! The pics are what I have now, a set of cragars and the 17's from a mustang.

On my car are my current wheels that I've owned since 1973 and out of the boxes are my future wheels - 6" x 15" & 14" x 15" American Racing 200s. 05 Left side.JPG IMG_3399.JPG

this one looks like it has deep iron stock wheels on the back but theyre actually aluminum. I even thought they were iron until I took them off and went to yank on it to pick it up and almost threw it in the air

American Racing wheels on my Comet (Those ugly tires will be gone later today!)

For what it's worth, I think those Mustang 17's look really good.

Yeah, I LOVE how the car looks with the Mustang 17's, but HATE the way it drives and the ride is TOO harsh for me. So I am going to go with a ONE PIECE 15" wheel, that gives me more sidewall and a smoother ride>

I have been eyeing those grey ones that JoeB has, just wanna see what they look like on a Mav. May end up just using the Cragars in the one pic I have.

The wheels are US Wheel retro 701 series...I am on back order for 5" wide fronts till August(many cuss words here)... Wherever you order from make damn sure they are available or you may wait(more cussin) and end up irritated

What is the benefit of "one piece wheels", opposed to 2 pcs? Strength , durability - all the above?

I like the way those Stang wheels look on your car. I had thought abt Stang 17's but. imagine I would have the same issue as you have stated. I run 70 series sidewall and the car rides reasonable. I have 14" Mag 500 stock wheels; I don't want to spend money on a new setup and be unsatisfied. When/if, I change, will be 15" w/ no less than 60 series sidewall.

I had two piece before and could never get them to balance out. they would balance one , take it off the balancer and set it on the floor. I would have them put it back on to check it and it would need 2 oz. to rebalance. he said it was the middle spacer that never goes on the balancer the same way. it also changes when you mount it on the car...:yup:
they say they need to be balanced on a...lug centric balancer...
