This was a craigslist ad in my area (VA). The guy who used to own this car was looking to find his old car and buy it back.

I replied to the ad as I bought a car identical to it around 1995. I traded a 1969 Fairlane 500 fastback even for it.

My car was a '73 Comet GT. White with orange stripes and orange interior. It was a 302 with a 3 speed manual. The car the guy posted about had all those same options.

After talking to the guy his old car wasn't the one that I bought because he said that his old car had been painted and the orange stripes weren't replaced back in the late 1980's. The car I owned still had the original paint and stripes on it. It was kind of wild to know that two basica

 

There was a White 73 Comet GT with orange interior in it for sale in Manitoba.

Yeah, I really liked that orange interior! I wish I would have kept that car! I also had a Lime '71 Comet GT with black stripes in the early 1990's. It was a 200 6 cylinder with a C4. It was a pretty solid car that I drove back and forth to work for about a year before I sold it.

 

Wet floorboards? Leaky cowl?

 

Is that what they call 'low flood' damage?
