It has a 84 DSO(Home Office Reserve), could have been part of the motorpool at Dearborn or other plants up that way...

I had a '87 Turbo T-Bird that had the 84 DSO but was local, apparently used by the brass at Norfolk Assembly till sold off...

    That is pretty cool!

The owner said his dad bought it (don't know if he ordered it or not) with the bright orange paint so that it would be easy to find at the airport parking lot. But then said his dad never went to the airport! Like I said the owner (probably in his late 60's early 70's) was really strange.

The craigslist ad didn't have any pictures. I called the number listed and asked him a few questions and asked if it would be alright if I came and looked at it. He said yes and we set a time.

I got out of my truck and when he walked me arounf to the side of the house where the car was sitting. I saw that the lower left rear 1/4 was ate up and there was rust at the bottom of the rocker and the fender too. I knew I wasn't interested at that point.

He showed me the inside and I closed the door and he said 'How are you planning on getting the car home.' I said 'What do you mean.' He said 'You aren't going to buy the car?' I said 'In the condition that the body was in that I wasn't interested.' He said 'You tricked me!' I said' How did I trick you? I never said I was going to buy the car. I can't buy a car over the phone with no pictures.' I said 'I came to see the car and the car wasn't worth the money that you are asking and in the condition that the body is in I'm not interested.'

I wished him good luck with his sale and left.

I took a picture of the outside driver's side of the car but for some reason it didn't turn out. :(

Looks like this is a 4S Light Green car, and it's close to another VIN entry.

Got them both! Thanks for sharing. I saw the video of the 73 on Facebook earlier this morning. Looks to have been the mate to Dave's green 73.

Darn, I missed it before it was deleted. I did a google search and the preview in the google results listed it as "Yellow". I like Yellow cars... :D It's been added to the list. Thanks for sharing.
