hey guys, I have a 73 maverick and putting the 70-72 front bumper on it, is there a difference betwwen the 72-73 front valance. If there is a difference has anyone done this swap and left the 73 front valance on. Or do you have to change the front valance for things to line up correctly. Anything else I need to be aware of doing the bumper swap.

Yes there is a difference. The 1973 valence will work....but in my opinion it looks a little strange due to the huge opening it creates under the now skinny front bumper.

You can trim the stone guard instead of the fenders.

Yes...one will need to be trimmed. Either the fenders or the stone guard.
