Hello, I purchased a 71 Comet a little over a year ago with the goal of creating a daily driver with a modern drive-train and suspension. Specifically, a Coyote 5.0, Tremec TKO 5sp, Mustang II front suspension and 3-link rear suspension. I am about to start a build thread in the project forum but thought I should introduce myself first. Here is what I started with. It had been sitting in a field in the California desert since at least 1983 and was relatively rust fee (and infested with black widow spiders). It is (was) a V8/C4 car with factory air. Someone had added the GT spoiler sometime along the way so that was a bonus.

It was indeed - located in Bloomington, CA. The gentleman I purchased it from had what looked like several hundred cars stashed in various fields and yards. I could have spent days there.
