Ran the car for the first time last weekend with the new 306 & a t5
it ran 10.83 w/ 1.98 60ft our track is a 1000ft not a 1/4 mile. Need to do some suspension work cause it wasn't hooking for crap lol. 40 year old stock leaf springs where killing me
but I thought that wasn't bad for the first time out in it

What was your 1/8 mile ET and trap speed? Not as familiar with the 1,000 foot times.

One thread I found on net posted by a guy with a Chevelle said multiplying by 1.2 worked out for 1/4 mi ET for his car... That's no doubt going to vary by HP, traction, gearing etc...

Based on the 10.83 1000 foot time, an ET calculator I found on the web gave a 1/4 mile time of 13.05.

I would consider that pretty stout using stock GT40P's!

I agree, especially with that 60 foot time.

my friend just had some ported & flowed I'll ask him the flow numbers for stock again cause I don't remember but they where pretty impressive for a stock head
of course it was way better after porting
& these numbers will most definitely get better I haven't even touched the carb or timing on it & like I said on stock 40yr old suspension. launching off idle 1300 or so cause it was:chirp: the tires off lol

85 mph in the 1/8 is scootin' pretty good... No doubt could add at least another 22-24mph in the 1/4... With traction and a little tuning you have a solid 12.5-12.7 car...

My friend said they flowed right at 200cfm stock and after porting 240cfm on the intake side he didn't say on the exhaust
I plan on getting mine ported next time I pull them
