Hello everybody! I have been looking at this 1965 mustang instrument cluster and thought "hey...Would that fit in a maverick?" obviously, it wouldn't be a bolt-in kind of deal! (never is, is it?) but the cluster seems to have a curve from bottom to top..like a maverick cluster...Has anybody tried this? I can seem to find anything on here. But I think with some cutting and a little bit of metal work it could possibly work? Thanks for any advice ahead of time!
arent teh cars about the same width? would it be easier and cleaner to just retro fit a complete dash from a mustang? the dash in our cars arent that hard to replace
I haven't thought about that....Wonder if anybody has attempted this? Granted the dash is probly pretty easy to work with and make it fit..I will have to look into that!
That was what I was thinking. Only way I see to make a Mustang cluster fit a Maverick is to section the dash. I'm thinking a 69-70 Mustang cluster and surrounding metal would be an easier project and it would look more at home than a 65-66 Mustang cluster.
That's very true! I went and looked at examples of both of them today. I think the 65-66 is a little to far apart styling wise. the double hump dash or at least the bezel area would look a lot better In the mav. I would love to do it down the road.
