I pressure washed the engine bay really well and started scuffing it up. Also painted my headlight bezels a satin black. Those are a chore to tape off! Need to go back and fix some of the lines.

Not Comet related but part of the Ford family. Picked this up today.

    Hi Will:
We're installing a new RACK .. found a leak and wanted to repair it before the POWER TOUR .. buttoning it up now then we're installing the new SEQUENTIAL TAILLIGHTS on the COMET !! Jim @ Easy Performance Products is sending me a bunch of his " flyers" and we plan to pass them out to prospective customers at the various "stops" in the tour . Any fellow COMET owners out there are going to LOVE these lights .. they are really designed nicely and will fit any Comet . Jim and Debbie @ Easy Performance is " jammed" with work right now and Jim put my COMET taillights on a front burner so I would have them for the TOUR .. Thank you Jim !!! I'll spread the word to everyone I meet out there .. and I'm sure the lights will attract a lot of attention by themselves. Anyway Will.. I will probably see you at registration since I'm visiting friends in Oshkosh, Wisconsin Friday Day .. staying there overnite and then on to Madison , Wisconsin to register. See you guys on the road. GOD willing !

My Pop is the third owner, he bought the car in the early 80's, 64xxx on the odometer, for 5000...he kept it parked till the late 90's, when he had it restored...he parked it again...in the 30+ years he has owned it he may have put 100 miles on her...I am tired of that car doing nothing...hopefully we can get out to some shows this year with both cars...what you see is the first time in 10 years that the car was uncovered and rolled into the sunlight...long overdue...
