My uncle and I took the '75 Mercury Comet GT to the MCCI Regional Mini Meet in Carlisle, PA that was held in conjunction with the Carlisle All-Ford Nationals the first weekend in June. We found out we were fortunate enough to win 1st place in our class; which was 1960-1977 Mercury Comet (stock). Since we weren't there on Sunday when they gave out the awards we paid the $10 shipping and handling fee and got them to send the award to us. It is a nice looking plaque! Here are a few pics I took of the car at the show.
Awesome car. I really like it a lot. I especially like that it has a Grabber ducktail on it. Comet GTs should have come that way from the factory. I don't know why they didn't.
Thanks guys! Thanks Larry! I also agree that the Comet GT's should have come with the ducktail. It makes the cars look so much better! That is awesome!
Thanks Paul! The car is more 'stockish' than stock , but didn't think it fit in the modified class where there was a couple of pro street cars. I know the color of the car is right up your alley!
Stock Mavericks & Comets are boring. I like when they look mostly stock but are definitely not stock. I like pretty much everything about that car. You have good taste.
