I've been doing a little reading on the Drake product. Looks like it is much user friendly than previous products made to match dash color. Much higher solids content so coverage will be better. On the Mustang forums, all seem to be very pleased with the color match.

I'll have to give it a try sometime ......... :thumbs2:

Thanks Jack, for posting the PPG code - I much prefer to spray with my own guns than rattle cans ....... (y)

Just a quick follow up question. Does the Scott Drake / NPD paint work over metal and plastic parts? I cannot find the spec sheet on the Scott Drake website. Thanks!

It might but I'm pretty sure the plastic interior parts are supposed to be plain black.

So the plastic heater bezel and cluster are a different black than the metal dash surrounding them?

I have never used it on plastic. I would recommend a primer and testing the back side of anything prior to top-coating it.

Oh no, those parts are the same color as the dash. The drake paint works fine on them as well as a lower "glovebox" dash. I painted all those things on my car with the drake paint and they came out great. I thought you were talking about plastic things like kick panels. Sorry about that, I wasn't thinking.
