this is the set Collin has in his Mav...VFD3-1004 http://www.dakotadigital.com/index.cfm?ptype=results_w&mode=zoom&image=prd_zm_224.gif they are upgraded from the...STR 1004 and StR 1005 that I have. I bought them in...10/04/01 one of their great features... "All DAKOTA DIGITAL instruments are warranted free of defects in material and workmanship for the life of the vehicle in which they are originally installed. In the event of a problem with one of our products, DAKOTA DIGITAL will replace or repair the instrument at no charge." in 2010 I pulled my cluster to realize that when installed I had pinched the ribbon. I sent them back for repair and being it was my fault I was expecting to pay for the repair. they sent them back to me free of charge and had installed some upgrades to them that had come out after I bought them (no charge). ......
What does the drive thing say on a stick? At $700 it's gonna have to be one of the last things I do to the interior
surprisingly enough, they are very simple to install... the wires in the stock wiring harness looks like they were wired for digital guages. take the wires out of the harness plug to the cluster and hook them to the Dakota Digital controll box...all the sensors and speed controll for transmission come with the kit, just tell what transmission you are using...when I changed from a C-4 to AOD then to 700r4 they sent me the speedo drives...free... I explained to Tim how simple they were and he overthought it for a week or two. I told him to just do it...took him 2 hrs. and they were in... here are some pics of Tims install... 1-cut a plate (plexiyglass) 2/3- mounted back of cluster (assy. as stock) 4- done. 5- mine more on what you get with the kit... http://www.dakotadigital.com/index....ct_id=224/category_id=69/mode=prod/prd224.htm
