Major setback part 2

    Has not acted up since I installed the gauge.
    Another issue came up recently though. I lost reverse one day. I would have to rev the engine to like 3 to 4k then it would engage. It would lurch pretty hard though. I had to make it home so I did and took it straight to my shop. Trans is like two years old so I was pretty upset. I decided to take the pan down and see if anything looked funny. I did find one loose bolt to the valve body. I decided to remove the valve body and look under it. That's where I found a bad seal. Replaced the three and all works great.

    I noticed that the seals I took out were thin and hollow in the passage area. Seems they would create a turbulence and possibly foam up the fluid. I installed some from the dealer and they were solid with the passage way being the same dia all the way through. It was a very simple fix.. Makes me wonder if this is all they did to begin with. The guy showed me a bunch of broken parts when I picked up the truck back then. I did wonder to myself how those large pieces could be broken the way they were without me hearing anything.
